The Crescent Matriculation Higher secondary school was founded in Pandaravadai, Papanasam Taluk, and Thanjavur District in 1986. This school offers the Tamilnadu State Education Matriculation Board. It is a Co-ed school in Thanjavur District that provides education for students from LKG to XII students from various and its surrounding areas live, learn and study together in a harmonious atmosphere in the school.

The Crescent Matriculation Higher secondary school, PANDARAVADAI was founded in the year 1986 under the Trustee Management of PANDARAVADAI PERIYA PALLIVASAL TRUST, with the moto of imparting sound education to the people of PANDARAVADAI surrounding areas and its vicinity, based on Trustee 7.24 Acres of land was handed over to the school consisting members, to construct donors buildings where the school at present is situated. Having anticipated the soaring fee and high expenses involved to avail ourselves basic primary education, the Trust decided to run the school, to provide Quality education with equal opportunity to all students on secular vision irrespective of caste creed, religion, and political perspectives.

More students willing to join the special school, so that the school has enough space to develop new buildings and hire more teachers. Therefore, all good-hearted peoples are come to the village school for the development of the village children by the way of donor-ship of building and other infra of the school.
